Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Mount Kenya National Park
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi followed by a scenic drive through Kenya’s central highlands toward Mount Kenya National Park. Along the way, enjoy beautiful countryside landscapes, coffee and tea plantations and breathtaking views of Mount Kenya as you approach the park. Upon arrival, check into your mountain lodge or safari camp and enjoy lunch before taking a guided nature walk through the surrounding forest trails. The peaceful environment offers opportunities to spot monkeys, colorful birds and other wildlife while enjoying the fresh mountain air. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the beauty of the mountain wilderness.
Days 2: Guided Hiking Adventure on Mount Kenya
Wake up early for a full day of hiking through the scenic landscapes of Mount Kenya National Park accompanied by experienced guides. Trek through bamboo forests, moorlands and mountain trails while enjoying spectacular views of valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and the towering peaks of Mount Kenya. Along the hike, learn about the park’s unique ecosystem, vegetation and wildlife while taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the mountain environment. Picnic lunch will be enjoyed along the trail before continuing with the adventure and later returning to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Explore Waterfalls, Moorlands and Scenic Landscapes
After breakfast, continue exploring the natural beauty of Mount Kenya with another exciting day of hiking and sightseeing. Visit scenic waterfalls, open moorlands and panoramic viewpoints that provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and mountain peaks. The day offers excellent opportunities for photography, birdwatching and wildlife encounters including antelopes, buffaloes and forest animals found within the park. Spend time relaxing in the cool mountain environment before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast while taking in the final views of Mount Kenya National Park before checking out from your lodge. Begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi with optional stopovers for photography and refreshments along the way. Arrive in Nairobi later in the afternoon, bringing your unforgettable Mount Kenya hiking and nature safari adventure to a memorable end.
