Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley toward Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking escarpment views and photography stopovers before arriving at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the vast Mara plains, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions and cheetahs roaming freely in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Days 2: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the rich wildlife ecosystem of Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. This is the perfect opportunity to search for the Big Five while witnessing incredible predator-prey interactions across the savannah. During migration season, you may also experience the dramatic wildebeest river crossings along the Mara River. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness surrounded by stunning landscapes before continuing your game drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Maasai Cultural Experience
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve when wildlife is most active and the lighting is perfect for photography. After breakfast, enjoy additional game viewing before visiting a traditional Maasai village where you will learn about Maasai culture, dances, beadwork, and pastoral traditions. This cultural interaction offers a deeper understanding of the local communities living alongside wildlife. In the afternoon, continue with optional game drives before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
