Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi followed by a scenic drive along the Nairobi–Mombasa highway toward Tsavo East National Park. Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive across the vast red-soil plains of Tsavo East. The park is famous for its large herds of red elephants that dust themselves with the park’s rich red earth, creating one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife scenes. During the game drive, you may also spot lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species around the famous Aruba Dam. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful African wilderness.
Days 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, continue your safari adventure toward Tsavo West National Park, known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, rolling hills, lava flows, and natural springs. Upon arrival, enjoy game viewing as you head toward your lodge before visiting the famous Mzima Springs where crystal-clear waters attract hippos, crocodiles, fish, and a variety of birdlife. Continue exploring the park’s rugged wilderness while searching for elephants, leopards, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife species against the backdrop of scenic hills and volcanic formations. Later, return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Wake up early for a final sunrise game drive in Tsavo West National Park as wildlife becomes active during the cool morning hours. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and capture unforgettable photographs of the park’s landscapes and animals before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After checking out, begin your journey back to Nairobi with scenic stopovers along the way, arriving later in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s famous red elephants and spectacular Tsavo wilderness.
